This Privacy Policy explains how Velore (“Velore”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Velore mobile application and related services (the “App”). Velore is a digital business card app that lets you create a shareable card, share it via QR code or link, scan other people’s cards, and manage your saved contacts.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We only collect information needed to provide the App’s features. We do not sell your data.
When you scan or save someone’s card, we store the details on that card (name, role, email, phone, social links), along with any tags, notes, or follow-up status you add. You are responsible for having an appropriate basis to store another person’s contact details.
The App does not read, upload, or access your device’s phone address book.
If analytics are enabled for your card, we record card-engagement events such as card opens, QR scans, contact saves, and link clicks, together with a session identifier and the platform (e.g. “android”). These metrics help you understand how your card performs. You can disable engagement tracking in Settings & Privacy.
The App requests camera access only to scan QR codes. Camera images are processed on your device to read the code and are not stored or transmitted by us.
The App displays ads using Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising ID, other device identifiers, approximate (IP-based) location, and ad-interaction data. This data is collected by and shared with Google and its advertising partners. We do not control the data practices of these partners.
Where required (for example, in the EEA/UK), the App presents a consent prompt (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) that lets you choose whether your data is used for personalized advertising. You can also limit ad personalization through your device’s advertising settings. Learn more at Google’s Privacy & Terms.
We do not sell your personal data. The account, card, and contact information you provide is transmitted only to Velore’s own backend service to deliver the features described above, and is not shared with advertisers.
The one exception is advertising: as described under “Advertising” above, our ad provider Google AdMob collects and shares advertising identifiers, approximate location, and ad-interaction data with Google and its advertising partners in order to display and measure ads.
Note that information you choose to publish on a public card (for example your name and contact details) is, by design, visible to anyone you share the card link or QR code with. You control which fields are visible through your privacy and sharing settings.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users.
Data is transmitted between the App and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and associated data are permanently removed (see below).
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
Velore is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can update your card and account details in the App, or contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
